Our Story
Greta & Anders Holt
In 2011, Greta and Anders Holt traded their Seattle careers for a century-old farmhouse on the edge of Leavenworth's Bavarian village. What began as a weekend retreat became the inn you're reading about now — a labor of love shaped by deep respect for the Cascades and a genuine passion for hosting.
Greta grew up in rural Bavaria and brings that tradition of warm, generous hospitality to every morning's breakfast spread — think homemade pretzels, local Okanagan fruit preserves, and eggs from the inn's own small flock. She also leads sunrise hikes along the Icicle Creek Trail several mornings a week, sharing her encyclopedic knowledge of the local watershed and alpine flora.
Anders, a former landscape architect, designed the inn's gardens, stone paths, and the handcrafted furniture in every room. Together they've hosted guests through Leavenworth's legendary Christmas Lighting Festival, Maifest, and Oktoberfest — and they wouldn't have it any other way.
